Mansion, Westminster
A light, airy townhouse and mews in central London. Carefully restored to create a lavish home that retains original period features, whilst incorporating the thoroughly modern luxuries of a swimming pool, sauna and cinema room. Bespoke features abound, including timber doors, framed windows and flooring.
THE REQUIREMENT
Our client purchased a six-storey townhouse and four-storey mews house, which had been converted into multiple flats. The brief was to renovate both properties to create one dwelling, constructing a new extension and transforming the two buildings into a unified, airy and contemporary home.
THE OUTCOME
As well as entirely refurbishing both properties, we extended between the two, excavating into the basement to form a swimming pool, sauna and steam rooms below ground and living areas above. We restored existing façades, built Mansard roofs, and refurbished internally using clean lines, and a minimalist modern style with classical features. Other bespoke features include a cinema room, flat roof terrace and custom-made wardrobes.
